The Department of Geography & Regional Development offers a GIS minor to undergraduates.
The School of Renewable Natural Resources offers graduate students who are majoring in Renewable Natural Resources the opportunity to choose the Advanced Resource Technology option as one of their concentrations towards fulfillment of their degree.
This is one of the Interdisciplinary Programs offered through The University of Arizona Graduate College and offers course work which ranges from the fundamentals of the physics and optics of remote sensing to image processing, pattern recognition, and geographic information systems.
