Any one of the core courses, in either option, may also be used towards the six elective units, in either option. Prior approval of a proposed study plan for the minor will be made by representatives drawn from the Committee on Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis, consisting of more than 20 University faculty (see below).

Remote Sensing Sciences
OPTI 550 Fundamentals of Remote Sensing
ECE 531 Image Processing Laboratory for Remote Sensing

Plus six additional graduate units from the general curriculum (see pages 5-7), or from the Spatial Analysis core (one course maximum).

Spatial Analysis
REM 590 Remote Sensing for the Study of Planet Earth
GEOG 516B Geographic Information Systems for Geography and Regional Development
RNR 517 Geographic Information Systems for Natural Resources
